Listening to the Sentinelese

This pic of mine was taken near North Sentinel Island, Andamans in 2008 while working on GoI’s Tsunami Rehabilitation program through Siemens.

Anchored off North Sentinel Island while supporting the tsunami rehabilitation program in 2008.

The Sentinelese tribe inhabiting the island for 60,000 years is untouched by modern civilization and yet they escaped the all destructing Indian Ocean Tsunami absolutely unharmed by being much closer to nature and observing animal behaviour.

From my experiences in India to Manitoulin Islands in Canada, I realized that their fight in protecting our ecosystems 🌎 long before Covid is something we should all appreciate and strengthen.
